SERVICES
Your heating and cooling system (HVAC) are the lungs of your
household.
Healthy air creates a healthy home. Your heating and cooling system (HVAC) is the lungs of your
household. Essentially your home takes air in and breaths it out. Over time debris, dirt, dust, dander or
even cigarette smoke can build up in your air delivery system (aka your heating and cooling system). This
build-up can attribute to poor efficiency, wear and tear on your system, odor, and potential mold and debris being passed throughout your home. Contaminated ducts can lead to allergies, asthma and poor indoor air quality. On average, air is recirculated in your home 5-7 times per day. Over time, this cycle can cause an accumulation of pollutants in your system. Thoroughly cleaning your ducts can reduce
these pollutants and contaminants, creating cleaner air and a healthier home.

Dryer Vent Installations
Properly installing dryer vents is crucial to keeping you and your family safe. At Fire and Ice we offer new construction installation as well as design and install for existing venting that needs to be brought up to state code. Having dryer vents that do not adhere to code could cause: dryer fires, damage to your dryer or long dry times.
Code Compliance Inspections
Fire and Ice offers inspection of existing dryer vents. We can check for clogs, damage, code compliancy or if you have critters living in it. Determining if your dyer vent is up to code is extremely important as it can prevent the potential for a dryer fire. By doing these inspections, we can explain the ‘how’s and ‘why’s to create a plan with you that will bring your venting system up to state code.

Fire and Ice can also check your dryers effenciency by taking air flow measurements. By taking CFM
(cubic feet per minute) measurements, we can determine if your vent has restricted air flow or if it’s clogged. Restricted air flow can mean longer dry times and higher utility bills. Restricted air flow with a gas dryer has the potential to increase your risk of carbon monoxide backing up into your home. We can even check you dryer’s blower motor and see if that is working properly.
